Holiday Message from Master Li Junfeng

As you prepare your home for small family gatherings, be welcoming. Do it with love. Prepare your homes as though they were sacred spaces. Prepare everything as though you want to welcome your family into a holy place. The divine is not only found in churches, mosques and synagogues, and not only during the holidays. It is ever present. It is in your hearts, in your homes. You just have to look with the eyes of your heart.

As you prepare and buy food, think lovingly of those you will feed. And even if you are alone in your home, trust that you are always connected to all, and that your love can permeate all. You can do the same in your place of work. You can do the same in your car as you drive down the highway. Wherever your car passes, love will spread if you have it in your heart. Your love will clean the air and prepare the city, prepare the world for the holidays.

The Meaning of Lotus Reed

In Eastern spiritual paths, the symbol of the lotus flower floating on a muddy pond holds a profound symbolism. The muddy pond represents life on this realm. The reed of the lotus brings man's life from the muddy pond upwards towards the purity of the lotus, the Inner Self which floats untainted above the waters.

The word "reed" is also the tip of a pen through which the ink flows. The Lotus Reed is that through which unconditional love, represented by the lotus, flows out and is expressed in words. The reed is also that which is found in the heart of a wind instrument. When the reed vibrates, sound is produced. The Lotus Reed is that through which the sweet healing music of the lotus is heard.

Suggested Format:

The hour-long session will begin with two or three rounds of Heart Mind as One, followed by Heart Spirit as One. A short Union of Three Hearts Meditation will end the hour. So as not to be in a rush, we will hold the practice with some combination of these forms.

These will be practice sessions with no corrections or teaching. The host will ask participants to volunteer to lead a round. Join and leave when you can.

Deniz Yener and Luisa Conti both worked really hard to organize a January 4th, 2020 workshop, and generously gave part of their share to charity. They gathered 16 students, in the remote countryside near Cadiz, Spain. Deniz had been teaching qigong for a while when he discovered Master Li on YouTube. He fell in love with Sheng Zhen Meditation & wants to learn & teach all he can.

Both Luisa and Deniz are full of light and love, and plan on attending the next Teacher Training they can.
